DAPHNE BRINGS AFRICAN ROYALTY TO CANAL D’OR 2026 IN STUNNING DESTA COUTURE CREATION
Cameroonian music star Daphne Njie Efundem has once again reminded the public why she remains one of the most recognisable queens of 237Music, stepping onto the Canal d’Or 2026 red carpet in an elegant African royalty-inspired outfit designed by Desta Couture.
Describing her look as that of a free-spirited African music royalty, Daphne made a statement with her appearance at the 15th edition of the awards, held on October 31 at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé. Her outfit was more than just fashion; it reflected confidence, culture and the royal image she has built over the years.
Interestingly, this was not Daphne’s first experience at the Canal d’Or. She first attended the ceremony in 2015 as an upcoming artiste following the success of her song Rastafari. Four years later, she returned as one of the biggest winners of the night, taking home four awards, including Female Artiste of the Year, thanks to her hit song Calée.
From a young artiste discovering the award scene to a celebrated music star with several achievements to her name, Daphne’s journey mirrors her growth in the Cameroonian music industry. Often affectionately called the GrandMa of 237Music, her name carries a legacy of hit songs, memorable performances and influence.
After all these years, Daphne is still making statements, both through her music and fashion. But did her 2026 Canal d’Or appearance just remind us that she is royalty in both worlds?
