Cameroonian singer Libianca has made history to become the first Cameroonian artiste to win a headies awards.

The singer was crowned winner for Best Central African Artiste of the Year at the 16 ddition of the Headies Awards that took place on Sunday September 2, 2023 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Libianca and her global hit single “People” beat the likes of Fally Ipupa and Gaz Mawete from DR Congo, Matias Damiaso from Angola and Emma’A from Gabon to be crowned Best Central African Artiste of the Year. She adds the headies to her already numerous achievements with the success of her hit single titled “People”. Aside Libianca’s win, check out the full list of winners below;
