2019 is here! Happy New Year dear 237showbees, we hope the year kicked off well for you all. It is a new dawn with new expectations, new challenges and obviously new music. It is in that light that Chilli Wawaye has come around to thrill our ears and boost our playlists with the remix to her track “HAYO”.
Chilli Wawaye belongs to the rare breed of Cameroonian artistes who seeks to blend the highly celebrated urban genre of music with the traditional rhythms of the Cameroonian people. Hailing from the North-West region, Chilli Wawaye’s musical orientation has been greatly affected by the native “njang” rhythms which characterize the people from this place, prompting her to create a hybrid musical rhythm which is known to some as “urban njang”. “HAYO” which is produced by Phill Bill isn’t a new song, but this time Chilli Wawaye invites Makossa legend Longue Longue on a remix whose video is directed by Mr. Adrenaline and will be released on January 5th 2019!
