Singer Witty Minstrel should be getting ready to build more shelves in his living room to accommodate more awards for his hit single “Be Proud”. As it stands, the Njang Hip Hop sensation has gathered more awards and what is left is a “Ballon D’or”. Witty hasn’t missed out on a single award show he has been nominated in.

The Be Proud crooner bagged 2 awards at the 2021 edition of the Muzikol Music Awards in the categories for “Best Traditional Artiste” and “Best Collaboration” for the song “Be Proud”. Few days later at the 2021 edition of the Balafon Music Awards, Witty bagged 3 more awards for the same song in the categories “Meilleur Collaboration de l’Année, Clip de l’Année and Meilleur Chanson de d’Inspiration Traditionelle.”

The maiden edition of the Cameroon Music Evolution Awards and the Cameroon International Music Festival (CIMFEST) didn’t play a blind eye on Witty’s originality and connectivity with his roots. He was awarded “Best Song & Best Collaboration” and Best Song of the Year respectively all for the same song “Be Proud”

It should be noted that, Witty Minstrel also went home with a Canal d’Or award winning the “Artiste ou Groupe de Musique Folklorique” category.
