Cameroonian singer Libianca has clinched another nomination at the 2023 Video Music Awards in the category for Best Afrobeats with her global hit song “People”

237Showbiz observed that the VMAs has added the new category “Best Afrobeats” for the first time in the award’s history and Cameroonian singer Libianca’s “People” was nominated would be going head to head with other top artistes such as Burna Boy – It’s Plenty, Wizkid – 2 Sugar ft Ayra Starr, Davido – Unavailable ft Musa Keys, Ayra Starr – Rush, Rema – Calm Down ft Selena Gomez and Bandana by Fireboy x Asake.

The new category was dominated by Nigerian singers and Libianca is the lone Cameroonian on the list.

The 2023 VMAs are scheduled to take place on September 12, 2023, airing live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
