Kiflex was born and raised in a small village called Bambui – North West Region of Cameroon where his musical talent sprouted from a xylophone player to a professional and international artist.
From childhood, music has always been a part of Kiflex. Growing up, he was one of the most popular traditional xylophone players and this skill gave him insides to sound creation and modification. In his community at that time, there were young artists that were professionally making music and because he could not afford to pay for studio time, he tried asking one of the artists if they could take him with them to the studio just so he could see what the music studio looks like, but they refused stating he will have to pay them to take him.
Kiflex currently resides in the United States where he practices medicine. The name Kiflex; a subtraction of “Ki” from Kilian his real name and an addition of “Flex” from flexibility.When Kiflex moved to the U.S in 2013, he joint a Band called The Island Sensation based in Detroit. Through this band, he had the opportunity to play for multiple superstars including 2face, Iyana, Flavor, Mc Galaxy and many more.Being in the buttonhole of so many great artistes, it became a huge motivation for Kiflex to start writing and producing his own music by using his own language and jest in transmitting his powerful love lyrical punch lines.
In 2014, he was connected with a producer, B O Boy from Nigeria who fell in love with his style of music and produced his first album called Baddest Queen.Since then, he became more connected and his love for music kept growing, getting him where he is today.Kiflex’s unconditional love for all in the Cameroon showbiz world has been the main driving force for his success in the diaspora. He has been opportune to collaborate with J Martins, Eddy Kenzo and many more.
