A statement has been made by FECAFOOT to the Minister of Sports Mouele Kombi that he and the Ministry of Sports have no right to decide Antonio Conceicao’s fate

That is if the Portuguese coach will remain as Head Coach for Cameroon or Not

This comes after Mr Conceicao took.the Indomitable lions to a 3rd place AFCON finish and The Minister of Sports hinted that Mr Conceicao will continue as Indomitable Lions Coach .

However this hint didn’t sit well with the FECAFOOT Boss Samuel Eto’o as he believes the law makes it clear that Fecafoot is in charge of firing/hiring a coach for the National Team and as such he has no right to decide the coach’s fate

He also adds that the decision to keep or Fire Antonio Conceiçao will be made in 72 hours time

It should be noted that there has been numerous calls for Mr Conceicao to be fired and replaced with a local coach though there are a few who think he is still the right man for the job after leading Cameroon to a 3rd place finish .
