MTVMAMA2016 is around the corner.  The MTV Africa Music awards  2016 is set to take place on the 22.10.2016 in Johannesburg. The MTVMAMA  is currently  the most prestigious award in Africa and it is an award   highlighting the “gold standard” in music, creativity and achievement. The sixth edition of the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA)  recognises and rewards musicians and achievers who have made the most impact on African music and youth culture over the previous year. The ceremony will feature stunning performances from African and international artists along with the show’s signature cross-genre and cross-border collaborations. MAMA 2016 will celebrate African talent across 17 award categories, including Best Male, Best Female, Best Song and Best Collaboration by Absolut. The contribution of artists from Portuguese and French-speaking Africa will also be recognised in the Best Lusophone and Best Francophone categories. The Nominations Will be released this september and will drop any moment from now. This Awards are generally very great for home based Artist because it lets them meet other artists and it serves as a breathing ground for opportunity and bigger collaborations. Till date it is worth mentioning that only Stanley Enow has been able to bring home an MTV Award that was in 2014 for Best New Act. While we hope Cameroon gets more nominations this year, We will give a rough guess of potential Artist/songs that could merit a nomination at the MAMA awards 2016.
