Zone2Rap label head honcho Jean Jules Kenfack known professionally by his stage name Maahlox Le Vibeur has announced the release of a new album dubbed “HYSACAM”

It is not clear when the rapper will be dropping his 4th studio album but he took to his official social media pages to announce the release of a new album.

The title of the album HYSACAM has gotten so many fans wondering if the artiste is just being a clown or sarcastic because he captioned the post

“L’album qui arrive sera du très SALE, Je crois que je vais l’intituler ” HYSACAM ” (My next album will be very explicit (Raw) I think I’m going to name it HYSACAM)”

“No publicity they say is bad publicity” but when content creators use false claims to create publicity stunts that are later on disproved, it becomes a desperate move and can be termed a “Funny Lie“.

This is the case with Cameroonian rapper Maahlox Levibeur. Taking a short break in the musical scene, the rapper placed his focus in the creation and running of his popular Snack Bar known as “Boivement“. On coming back to make music that will burst the speakers of his snack this festive period, Maahlox released a brand new explicit video titled “Tu Veux Enlever?” meaning “Do You Want To Take It Off?” which has been greatly criticized by some fans for being too explicit.

The video lasted 24 hours on the rapper’s YouTube channel and suddenly disappeared. Maahlox took to his social media to announce that his YouTube channel has been hacked and the videos deleted. Maahlox in subsequent publications on his social media promised the the perpetrators hell if they are caught.

Team 237Showbiz visited the rapper’s YouTube channel and discovered that the content (Videos) on the rapper’s channel have all been set to “PRIVATE”. This means that only him can see his videos and others can only have access to these content if and only if he grants them access. Below is a screenshot of how the rapper’s YouTube looks like;

Looking at the the YouTube channel and Maahlox Levibeur’s death threats to the so-called perpetrators, one can easily conclude that its a desperate move and funny lie to draw attention to his most recent single and video. This still defends the saying that goes thus; “No Publicity Is Bad Publicity“

Maahlox le vibeur en a vu de toutes les couleurs depuis son enfance. Marqué par la mort de sa sœur qui est parti beaucoup trop vite, il décida de prendre le nom de “Maahlox” proche du nom du médicament que prennait sa sœur cadette pour soulager les douleurs causée par un cancer qui finalement pris le dessus.

Les parents séparés, le manque des moyens financiers, le fait de devoir arrêter l’école sont là les évènements qui ont forgé Maahlox dans son adolescence, et dans un environnement peu propice pour un enfant.

Les déboires ou de la chance (vu sous un autre angle) ne s’arrêtent pas là. Ce dernier a été stéréotypé toute de suite à la sorti du hit qui a fait le buzz: La bière c’est combien ici (après avoir 13 années difficiles), suivie de la sortie de son album: Ça sort comme ça sort. Les mots tel que “Dépravé”, “Grossier” et “Immoral” pour ne citer que ceux-là, ont très souvent été utilisé pour décrire le contenu des chansons de Maahlox. En 2016, ceci lui a valu le boycott de plusieurs chaînes radio et télé. Mais était ce suffisant pour arrêter la machine déjà en marche ? Certainement pas!

Du côté du label Zone 2 Rap où il était signé, tout ne baignait pas. Il a fait l’objet de critiques et recadrement a plusieurs reprises avec pour but de l’emmener à ce conformer a l’image du label, mais en vain. Maahlox a maintenu ce qu’il était et l’a assumé. Ceci a mené à une séparation des autres membres du label qui en ont créé un autre: FastLife.

Le drame ne s’arrête toujours pas là ! Il a fait l’objet d’une polémique avec la chaîne Canal 2, qu’il a utilisé le mot “pacotille” pour décrire. Consterné par le fait selon lui, d’avoir été indexé à plusieurs reprises comme étant “Porte-étandard et promoteur du désordre, de la pornographie, du banditisme et de la dépravation des mœurs”. Suite à cela, il a solennellement demandé à ce que son nom soit retiré de la liste des nominés de Canal d’Or, chose qui a été faite.

Aujourd’hui signé chez le label français: Because Musique, Maahlox semble encore plus inébranlable que jamais. Il est constamment entre deux avions pour des concerts et des spectacles de grande envergure. Il a atteint une notoriété incontesté.

Les obstacles, les critiques et les difficultés de la vie ont-ils mené Maahlox jusqu’au point où il en est? Le fait de voir un jeune qui n’avait rien, visiblement pas d’avenir, encore moins un entourage idéal pour prospérer atteindre un tel niveau, est t’il la leçon a retenir et chose qui attire l’administration des jeunes ? Les paroles et les images des clips vraisemblablement crû de ses chansons traduisent généralement les réalités du ghetto, chose qui pousse probablement ceux qui y sont a s’identifier en Maahlox, qui apporte une lueur d’espoir.

Au finish, est-ce-qu’il est judicieux de dire que le style de Maahlox (non approuvé) est une sorte de message codé transmis au jeunes en guise de motivation a travailler ? Où alors juste une expression lyrique la réalité ?

This epidemic ”filling up shows thing” seems to have contaminated New Bell Music boss Jovi as the rapper’s label released a teaser poster on it’s Instagram page yesterday about his first ever concert in his entire career. A Mega Concert which will take place at Etoug Ebe, Yaoundé. According to the poster, tickets will be sold at 3000CFA, a dress code of either all white or black.

The above information didn’t bother both Jovi fans, music lovers and critics. What caught the attention of many is the fact that the poster points out the sale of weed (Indian Herm) and drugs. ”I know about weed but not the kind of drugs the concert is out to sell, is it Malaria treatment? Anti retroviral drugs or the concert is out to promote the use of harmful drugs? Fans question!”

Others see the concert as one which is organized to capture a set or category of Jovi fans. ”Mind you, not all lovers of Bob Marley smoke weed, some are allergic to even cigarettes. How then do you think they will be comfortable in a setting of that caliber?”

Unfortunately, many of the names (Guest Artistes) are said to be underground artistes which many fans don’t actually know or have heard of before. They immediately poured out their disappointment for the rappers choice of guest artistes to start up his concert. Take a look at a couple of reactions below.

Notwithstanding, Maahlox still has his reasons for bringing in the young yet talented soon to become superstars. The rapper is looking forward to give chances to many young artistes for his concert instead of bringing the already made names whereas thousands of talents rise and fall before they are ever heard. Maahlox also made his critics to understand that at a point in time in his career, he was also given a chance like he is about to give to these youngsters who will grow up to replace them when they are gone.

Cameroonian rapper and Zone2Rap front artiste Maahlox who plans to fill the over 5000+ capacity sports complex has been getting full support from his colleagues and some went as far as confirming their presence. Daphne, Salatiel, Ténor, LOCKO and Jovi just to name a few.

Things took everyone by surprise when one of Maahlox Levibeur’s biggest enemies in the game Dynastie Le TIGRE supported Maahlox and confirmed his presence on the 26th. This is one of two of the most unexpected people the public expected to show support for the Ça Sort Comme Ça Sort hit maker.

However, we all know Stanley Enow a.k.a King Kong doesn’t get along with Maahlox since like forever. In an interview with Fredy Christel on Kalak FM, 94.5 on the program Urban Buzz the radio presenter said to Stanley Enow he dreamt the Motherland Empire boss was present in the Maahlox concert and the fans were screaming his name with all love.

In response to the alleged Fredy Kristel dream, Stanley said the radio presenter is lucky he wasn’t beside his sleep or in his dream in the concert, else he would have given him a dirty slap. This is a clear indication that Stanley doesn’t want to associate himself with Maahlox in anyway. Remember Maahlox wasn’t nice to Stanley Enow when he was doing his US tour and several shows abroad. However, if Dynastie can show support, Stanley can.

Moreso, it is obvious the complex will be filled with many of Stanley’s rivals like Jovi LeMonstre etc. Thus Stanley wouldn’t want to associate himself with such company.

These are just a few of what the rapper dished out last Saturday. However, one thing that was able to grab my attention is when he spoke about how he is been maltreated as some group of officials are either trying to ban his song, shows and the fact that his music isn’t broadcasted in any major channel in Cameroon and beyond with Trace Africa being his main focus. Then he goes ahead to say

” If any Cameroonian artistes is been treated the same way he is, their career wouldn’t last up to a week. ”

Although Maahlox isn’t seen in major TV channels, his concerts always witness a heavy turn out every time he steps out to perform. What is the magic?

”The rapper also claims he is the only Cameroonian artiste who says NO to over 30 shows in a month”

If you ask me, I’ll say that’s some heavy work that comes with big money every month.

Everyday, we preach unity, togetherness and Holding Hands. None of such has been put into practice. How is it obvious entertainers work in a clique? (Man Know Man). First things first, artistes in New Bell Music tend to work only within the label. No one has been let in or out for either a collaboration or even accepted to share a stage with other artistes. How can we grow with such policies? It seems some are willing to take over whereas others are just contented with the peanuts that brings forth the crumps under the table.

Another clique is the Buea Superstars clique, where we see artistes from Alpha Better Records hooking up with Akwandor, Nkeng Stephens, Stevens Music and Ambe of RedEye Group. Lately, we can observe a little exposure from Buea to Empire Company of Pit Baccardi c/o of Magasco. Ask yourself, must it be Mr. Adrenaline the video director of Tzy Panchak and Skidi Boy Videos? Why can’t power change hands. If its not Ndukong on Jovi’s videos, its Regis Talla on Maahlox’s.

Furthermore, Motherland Empire. Their clique seems to be the international standard, sealing collaborations in and out of Africa, forgetting that Cameroon still has grass in its door steps needing uprooting.

The diaspora seems to be another clique. Artistes there find it hard to collaborate with their fellow colleagues in Cameroon. We’ve heard complaints ad such from many artistes in the diaspora.

Lastly, the upcoming artistes. This is another clique created unknowingly. The fact that they are often neglected, little or no finances automatically places them in a group of struggling career builders.

When will Cameroonian entertainers come together? Are the promoters, event planners, fans and bloggers working in vain? Its high time someone stepped up and bring us all together. Cameroon music is on a stretcher, we all have a chance to connect and plug in the life support.

With above 63.709 subscriptions, 69 uploads, the Zone2Rap rapper has a record of 23.053.190 views for his channel.

Stevens ME apart from the fact that the label is not a group like Alpha Better Records and has a good number of outstanding artistes that provide quality music that catches the eye, it’s not surprising they come 2nd. Imagine music from the likes of Daphne, Shura, Boy Tag and M Pro put together. They have 43 uploads for the label, 114,464 subscriptions and a total of 33.703.262 views.

1 – Franko Officiel

Coller la Petite unarguably brought Franko to this height. It’s no news he get the first spot. With only 26 uploads, 149.829 subscriptions, the newly wedded rapper has the sum of 55.012.641 views for himself.

In conclusion, these figures change within seconds as people keep viewing content on YouTube daily. For all those wondering what subscriptions are, it can simply be described as the audience who get instant alert immediately a video is uploaded on YouTube. For example, if Franko uploads a video to his channel, 149.829 people get a notification and they go watch using the link emailed to them. Thus it is very important to subscribe to YouTube channels.
