Cameroonian singer and vitesse hitmaker Ambe has reacted to the official poster and line up of artistes set to perform at this end of year’s “Show By Orange” The line up has Cameroonian superstars such as Charlotte Dipanda, Maahlox, Tenor, Daphne and LOCKO who are placed to open up for Nigerian singer Burna Boy! The Vitesse hitmake to his twitter to express his disappointment stating that his colleagues are individually bigger than Burna Boy in Cameroon!

Cameroonian singer AMBE with series of hit songs in his music bank releases what he has been referring to as the album that will seal off his career. Titling this one “TAKE OFF” an 11 tracks album, the singer who has been in the game for 15 years took to his social media to declare that this will be the last time he holds the mic as an artiste. Ambe released his album on Wednesday 25th September in the midst of some of Cameroon’s biggest entertainners.

The album launch and listening party was a success and the album is now available on all digital platforms for consumption.

It may be sad to see AMBE give up the mic but leaving out a wonderful project such as “TAKE OFF” album and making us dance to a good number of hits is something to applaud.Notwithstanding, we have our fingers crossed as this might just be a prank or stunt!

The entertainment industry also has suffered and is still suffered a great loss as a result of the ongoing crisis, not just the entertainers and stakeholders, but the fans also go throw emotional and mental torture. As a result, many of them rush to find peace of mind be it on social media publications, music, comedy or games. However, the hate speech by some fans clearly shows a transfer of agression from the people inflicting pain on them to the entertainers (most especially English Speaking artistes) who have decided to communicate more with the French speaking population to the detriment of the English speaking audience. As a result, they tend to pour all their anger and frustration on the entertainers.

To the best of my understanding, if there wasn’t any ongoing crisis, Anglophone Problem or whatever you call it, the constant attacks on anglophone artistes now singing in French wouldn’t have been rampant. Many Cameroonians are sad and feel they are losing their heritage. A singer who rose to fame and attained success using his/her vernacular suddenly decides to forgo the language and picks up French, a language which isn’t understood by 90% of the his/her hope base fans. The political situation in the yesteryears when songs like Hein Père was released, Cameroonians fans rarely castigated their anglophone entertainers for cultivating too much French seeds in their musical gardens. Why then all of a sudden, French has become a problem when used by English Speaking Artistes ?

Piffo also made mention that the English speaking artistes are succceeding because most of them hail from the slopes of Mount Cameroon and Buea being the heart of entertainment, they are bent on seeing everyone succeed. He threw a lot of words in the air, we picked them up, gathered them for our readers. These are some of his words;

In the first screenshot, Piffo explains that Anglophone artistes have a greater chance to success in the entertainment industry compared to francophones. He claims that the anglophone artistes are United, they organize event, collabos, amongst themselves and their biggest producers and video directors double the price of beats when it comes to francophone artistes. He claims that Buea is the heart of Cameroonian urban music.

In terms of collaborating only amongst anglophones, Robinson Piffo gives Ambe’s Na 4 Bafut collabo as one of the main reasons of how the entertainers from the English speaking parts of Cameroon work only amongst themselves. This all star remix features Alpha Better Records including Askia, Magasco, Ambe, Boy Tag, Tzy Panchak and Blanche Bailly. According to Robinson Piffo francophones have nothing to do with going to Bafut.

Piffo concludes by saying Minks gave a lot of exposure to Blanche Bailly in her Mimbayeur single which she invited the Ach4Lyfe singer to drop a verse on. Since then, the Cameroonian diva has denied holding the hands of other francophones.

Piffo is simply calling on his francophone brothers to wake up, and keep working together with each other, but it seems he is just throwing water on a duck’s back looking at the last screenshot below.

The fresh graduate from the University of Yaoundé II (SOA) who holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and Marketingteamed up with Cameroonian Producer Phill Bill Beatz to come up with Blanche Bailly’s soon to be released single titled “Ndolo”

Apart from the fact that the song seems to be another potential hit given that it is the same producer who made the song “Mimbayeur” sound the way it does, what adds to this juicy success of Mccoy’s music producing is the fact that the youngster’s determination and hard work has been witnessed by everybody and if you are wondering how the 18 year old producer caught the attention of both Blanche Bailly and PhillBillBeats, it is thanks to his creativity in bringing out remakes of already produced songs. His instrumental remake of Blanche Bailly’s “Dinguo” is what caught the Cameroonian diva’s attention and gained him a spot in her next single which drops this Friday 16th November 2018. Coincidentally, the song drops the same day the producer turns plus one! Happy 19th Birthday in advance Mccoy!

Mccoy has done remakes of other hit songs such as LOCKO’S Je Serais La, Daphne’s Calée, Ambe’s La just to name a few. With all these remakes and amazing work which has given him a spot as one of the best young producers from Cameroon to watch out for, we can’t wait to listen to the magic he did on the Ndolo song! Talking about being patient, we will be patient enough and live longer to see him produce Alpha Better Records’ vocal highness Blaise B. Remember the singer made an official statement some months back (LIVE) saying Mccoy will produce his next hit!

The year 2018 has come and its almost getting to an end, a couple of artistes recorded success this year, others released projects such as Mic Monsta who dropped his Kwata Dairy Volume 1 albums, OTANG, Pascal, RENISS, Tata Paul, Wan Shey, Blueprint Hakeem who also released their EPs this year. While things were rough for some who couldn’t release projects such as albums, mixtapes and EPs, they resulted to travelling far and wide for shows and concerts.

Also, some other record labels must have called it a year as they are already visualizing the year 2019. The likes of RedEye Group of the “Vitesse” hit maker Ambe has made it known that they are ready to sign new talents in 2019. This declaration has been made by the singer several times but yesterday it caught the eyes of Cameroonian fans when Ambe declared under a post on Instagram that he would have signed the internet sensation Picazo Rhap Of Nigeria who recently blew with his freestyles and got spotted by YBNL boss and indigenous rapper Olamide instantly.

According to the screenshot, Ambe would have signed the youngster if he was in Cameroon. Meanwhile, the reply Ambe got from Cameroonian blogger and talent promoter Bate Nina shows that there are more talented kids of his age in Cameroon and that is the direction Ambe should be looking at instead of perusing news feed of Nigerians. The singer goes ahead to reply Bate Nina by asking her to show him one talented young artiste in Cameroon because him and his group are ready to sign new artistes in the coming year.

All in all, one of the reasons why the 237Showbiz Music Competition was founded and implemented was to bring out young talents and expose them to the world, so why is it difficult to spot young Cameroonian artistes at home but easy to find in other industries?

Cameroon is blessed with “supernatural talents” we see them everyday and every time. All they need is a big push, not necessarily signatures.

In other news, anticipate new music and the released of Ambe’s new video “La” the song was months ago and Ambe promises to drop the visuals after the results of the presidential elections.

The issue between the singer and bloggers was one of the most asked questions by the viewers, fans and bloggers who answered present for the Facebook Live session. Ambe made it clear that his posts which dates back in April 2018 wasn’t addressed to bloggers. Rather, it was addressed to trolls and social media (Keyboard warriors) bullies who use the job blogging to carry out offensive actions towards artistes. Disrespecting them and their art, and at the same time not being professional even when they try to do it right. Below is a screenshot of the post.

Talking about collaborations, the Better Boyfriend crooner made it clear that collabos with him aren’t fueled by money. If your song is good and has that catchy feeling, he will be delighted to jump and drop a verse on it!

Also, Ambe talked about why his lyrics took turn from more English to French. The Rendez Vous crooner explained to the fans and viewers present that his fan base has grow bigger and wider internationally. In order to reach out to a greater population through music, he had to Frenchify the lyrics to his song.

In conclusion, there are few things we might take sides with Ambe when it comes to some so called “bloggers” being unprofessional and go as far as creating fake accounts to attack other users and mostly public figures online. Others mismanage funds given to them by artiste and such acts breaks the trust and confidence people have for bloggers in general and consequently, the real and hardworking bloggers get to suffer.
