Hii... I may want to disagree with you Suinyuyian on this point regarding the government support.. Because i don't think the government gave any support to the Music Industry... I think it is more bout the content of our movies. Script and story they tell... Some are truly just a waste of time while some are truly interesting.
One of the prob I wanna bring up should be the cost of their premiers. Couple to the fact that fans them no fey plenty and most are not interested yet they make premieres pretty expensive. To a few 5k is nuffin but this youths I see in Kmer and with the rate of poverty go comot 5K for classic to watch a movie.??. Hmmm.. I doubt that. Cafeyage go always lack. And transport too to go watch maybe in Dla. Cuz most at times they limit their premiers in Dla. How many will pay transport to go watch...
And addressing 237showbiz... Ion know if you are talking of Cameroon movie Industry or Anglophone movie industry. Cuz the francophones are doing great if you ask me. Their movies or series are watched for free thru Canal 2 movies and stuff. I think we needa do same too. Create a platform for that. Having it online (forgotten the name of the platform) isn't an immediate solution to the slow pace growth... Cuz it still goes back to monetary issues. A month subscription seems too expensive. After you subscribe you go still need data to watch.. Mehn...
I think if we make it affordable and available for the very many average fans then we go get there. My humble PoV

The problems with the movie industry can be blamed partly on government as little is done to promote it. For eg, our movies are hardly aired on our national channel n most of our local channels. The second problem is our mentality we have that our movies r not good so most Cameroonian s r not patient enough to watch them. Our movies also r still boring n have no sispence. Just my view
