Ngwefuni Max’s “IF ONLY” Movie To Premier at Canal Olympia Douala

Cameroonian actor and filmmaker Ngwefuni Max of Ngwefuni Media Productions’ latest movie “IF ONLY” will see the screen for the first time at Canal Olympia, Douala on December 9^th 2022.

The movie IF Only is a story about a husband named Desmond who is having a hard time with his wife Janet who contracted HIV/AIDS and is accusing him of being the carrier and got her infected, leaving the entire family in a big mess.

Jeff, a husband and father of one on the other hand fights with his wife Vera on a daily basis as she has refused to take responsibility as a wife and mother but rather chooses to be more focused on her career as a nurse. Their daughter is emotionally traumatized by the domestic violence going on in the family.

The movie stars Cameroon’s Syndy Emade, Ngwefuni Max and Nigeria’s Zack Orji, Esther Audu and Jude Chukwuka.

Other actors include Oby Titus, Yannick Davidson and Big Brother Naija’s Trikytee (Timmy Sinclair)

The movie was written and Screen-played by Yannick Davidson. Executive Production credits go to Ngwefuni Max of Ngwefuni Media Productions.

Movie stars will always return to the bank to cash out another cheque if they have to perform some extraordinary acts in a movie. If an actor or actress has to cut his or her hair to fit a movie character or role, their accounts will be swelling in millions.

Cameroon actor, comedian and singer Cabrel Nanjip has broken the internet after cutting off his dreadlocks to fit the tole of a soldier in the movie “NGANÚ” by Kang Quintus. Ever since the actor shared the photo on social media, netizens have reacted and are eager to know what it took the actor to cut off his hair.

It should be recalled that, Nigerian actress Chika Ike was paid a whopping sum of 5 Million Naira in 2013 for cutting off her hair on set as she played the role of a widow to actor Olu Jacobs who died in the movie “Moment of Truth”. Could it be the same for Cabrel ?

WardZee was premiered yesterday at the Buea mountain hotel on the 24 of June 2018. The Cameroonian movie which was written and produced by Itambi Delphine happens to be one of the most anticipated and hyped movies produced in Cameroon this year. The premiere witnessed a lot of celebrities, fans, movie lovers, friends and family members of the cast and crew as they gathered to show their support to the wonderful output from the Itambi Delphine Studios.

Below is a synopsis of the movie for those who don’t have a clue about it.

SYNOPSIS

A young woman fights for her life and that of her missing son when she wakes up from the strangest of places without a baby she supposedly conceived two days ago in Ward Zee of a given hospital. Every trace of her ever being pregnant or having put to birth are nonexistent. Her husband and maid have disappeared into thin air and everyone she comes across who seem to believe her seemingly delusional story is a target. PAGE and her team of A curious Neighbor A police officer, An ex-lover and A come-back sister are bent on puzzling out the mystery behind the disappearance of the baby. But how so, when not even she,(the mother) can REMEMBER. Is this a wild ghost chase with a woman who may possibly HV buried her own son, or is someone bent on making her FORGET?

One of the many celebrities who graced the occasion was Alpha Better Records LION Mr. Leo. The lamnso lyrical genius shocked everyone with his out fit as he graced the occasion with a not so cool outfit. He had on a long sleeve white tee shirt, black pants, some cool sneakers and a waist bag hanging around his neck and under his right arm.

Charlotte Dipanda Delves Into Acting, What Are Your Thoughts On This?

Unarguably Cameroonian entertainment has been going places lately, victories have been recorded and landmark achievements have been registered, first the Cameroonian International Film Festival CAMIFF recorded great success, true, there was some scandal involved, but what’s the world without enigma. Then, after that we saw the overtly spectacular performance of the Cameroonian Movie Industry as the movie “A Good Time To Divorce” claimed 6 awards including that of Best Male Actor which went to movie industry pioneer Alenne Menget.

Also, at the level of the music industry, there has been a lot of progress with a lot of new releases and tours. With all these, we can rightly say the Cameroonian Entertainment Industry is waxing strong. Another victory seems to be on the way. Charlotte Dipanda, of course when we read this name we immediately start thinking of the ecstasy she gives our ears when she gets on a song with her amazing vocal endowments, we also think of the emphasis she lays on cultural relevance in her music with her frequent and unrepentant use of Cameroonian mother tongues, a quality you will all agree with me, is of immense value. But today we are not talking about her music, astonishingly; we will be discovering her on a whole new level. The “Elle n’a pas vue” crooner is reportedly making her acting debut in a Congolese TV series titled “River Hotel” which

will premier on June 15^th with Charlotte Dipanda starring in it with other stars both of the movie and music industry in Africa such as Ghana’s Majid Michael and Congo’s Fally Ipupa. The PanAfrican serial movie which will air on TV5 Monde Afrique is directed by Didier Ndenga. Despite The Accusations, Will You Like To Work With Africa’s Best Actor Alenne Menget In A Project?

Thoughts on the feud that escalated in the movie industry. The Cameroonian Movie Industry seems to have more drama in its day to day activities than it succeeds to put on our TV screens. Recently Stephanie Tum took to her Facebook profile to say a lot of things, notably she was calling out the CEO and founder of Ats Production Allenne Menget calling him a gossip and even revealing that he tried to date her. Stephanie Tum who herself is an actress, producer and philanthropist was quite bitter and blunt about the comportment of her colleague whom she took as an elder brother in the industry, and by the tone her accusations took, it seems like they were well founded and she seems to be waiting for an opportunity to further expose Allenne Menget.

Alenne who by the way was in Accra, Ghana for the Golden Movie Awards where he was nominated in the Golden Actor category, is yet to pronounce himself on the issue, he has chosen silence since the rants by Stephanie Tum. The only statements he made was for people to turn hate into love so as to see others grow.

The issue grew in pertinence when blogger and LGBT activist Kiki Bandy took to her profile to add her voice to that of Stephanie, revealing how Alenne uses blackmail, intimidation and several tactics to create confusion in the Cameroonian Movie Industry. She spoke of him deliberately excluding young upcoming actresses from movies because they refused to sleep with him. When Stephanie came out with her allegations it did sound like a rant from a dissatisfied friend but with Kiki Bandy joining her voice and revealing more on Allene Menget’s allerged misbehaviours, it is now something worth a lot of attention. Allenne Menget who won Best Actor at the Golden Movie Awards in Ghana last Saturday seems to be replying with actions, not just for himself but for the industry as a whole as the movie ”A Good Time To Divorce” grabs another 5 awards to it’s name. Actions here seem to be speaking louder than words.

The accusations about movie producers and filmmakers sexually harassing actresses for movie roles is nothing new in movie industries. Many girls succeeded through this route. It is a bad practice and must be abolished, Alenne who is accused and called all sorts of names is currently the man of the industry at the moment.

Its 5 years today, while celebrating 5 years of his career, King Kong would have been celebrating his union as well. Let’s just say he was lost in choice and confused on which of the ladies to pick. Well I for one know he has been too close to Charlotte. Hey! King Kong, you better put that ring on brother.

We are men and we know how to make these girls fall for our lies. Although not all men are the same but this is what many ladies have experienced in relationships. The Movie VS Music Industry. Why Is One Getting More Attention Than The Other?

Looking at entertainment in Cameroon, the music industry is far much progressing than the movie industry in almost every aspect. Nowadays we witness our Cameroonian artistes shutting down shows, dropping albums and travelling worldwide for tours.

On the part of the fans, everyone seems to be engaged in music topics. If they aren’t talking about a Salatiel outfit, they are talking about a Stanley Enow verse. The fan engagement with their artistes seems to be more effective and they tend to keep a stronger bond compared to the actors . Apart from supporting morally, it beats my imagination why some fans can take out time to go as far as being analysts, music critics, red carpet police but can’t bring in that same spirit of engagement when it comes to movies. The big question is, why is less attention paid in the movie sector?

We have had a lot of movies premiered in and out of the country, we have a good number of talented actors and actresses in the industry such as Nsang Dilong, Itambi Delphine, Otia Vitalis, Alenne Menget, Ashu Kelly, Vicky Fokala and the list goes on.

Why is less attention paid to these talents. I bet the average Cameroonian doesn’t know as many actors like they know the artistes.

We all need to grow by holding hands. First and foremost, we must detect the problems holding back the movie industry from pushing forward. The future is bright. One hand can never tie a bundle

Ferdinal Forka AKA Oboy Da Comic, one of Cameroon’s most talented and prolific comedians who also happens to be the brain behind the great Oboy Comedy Show is a sharp shooter! The comedian alongside his yet to be baby mama Murriel Baya AKA Mimi Baya a Cameroonian singer based in the United Kingdom officially came out to announce to their fans, friends and well wishers that they’ll be expecting a set of twins any time soon.

One would have thought this is one of Oboy’s jokes, but his soon to be baby mama Mimi Baya also bursted out the good news on her official social media pages as she shared photos of her pregnancy online. The couples are said to name their babies Paris and London. They both can’t wait to hold them in their arms.

In the month of January, there was a lot of ”Ndem” by some Camer artistes. A good Example is the cutlery ”ndem” by Magasco eating some roasted fish. Again he was spotted eating the famous North West dish achu with cutlery as well. All these were messed up actions by the Bamenda boy. Unfortunately, his ”ndem” couldn’t grant him the award for our prestigious ”Ndem of the Month”.

Thus, the ”Ndem of the Month” of January goes to TILLA aka Godmother when she posted about ASKIA calling her and fixing things up. This takes her to the TOP and she emerged our undisputed winner for the ”Ndem Of The Month”

All the artists that will be featured in this category will be underrated up & coming Cameroonian artiste/producer/record label whose music is very promising. A post will come up once every month. On the first edition of Underrated we feature Buea based Daryl-Christian Beya Inyang known by many as “DeeCy”. Deecy is a recording artist (rapper and singer), songwriter, author, record producer (as Mr. Music), sound engineer and multi-talented entertainer. After self-releasing several songs online, including 2011’s rap song Wettin Do You, and featuring with Cameroonian rap artist Jovi, DeeCy has continuously expressed his versatility and skills as a record producer on several recordings, performing several different genres in the same record. He self-released an E.P. “So Far, So Good” on 2013 under his independent record label, Creative Mind Entertainment, containing seven of his Hip-Hop/Afro songs recorded from 2011 – 2013, which was entirely and executively produced by himself. On August 13th 2015, he self-released “Action E.P”, a seven track body of work including the single, B.I.R, and featuring other Cameroonian artists like Arré, Dr. Sley, and Coolkid. Besides him as Mr. Music, it also features producers like, Manu Dibango and Deejay Karl.
Between 2011 and 2016, he’s released several singles including “Ngombey” which he produced as Mr. Music “Money Buys”, produced by K.E. On The Track, an American record producer, and Mami Play-Play, which he produced as Mr. Music. He is currently working on his debut album, “Origin 1: Land Of Promise”, in which he shares his personal experience as a Cameroonian coming from the English-speaking side of the country, especially being half-Nigerian, and the challenges he faces interacting with the French-speaking regions of the Country. DeeCy is one of Cameroon’s finest MC/singer and undoubtedly, Cameroon’s most promising recording artist. However, the movie industry has been catapulted by some individuals through endless handwork and organisations like CAMIFF which has so far influenced the Cameroonian cinema in a positive way.

The Cameroon international film festival (CAMIFF) has been pivotal in making the Cameroonian film industry cultural and economically richer through partnership with top corporate brands, which host a yearly showcase of Cameroonian and international films . Cameroon International Film Festival is a forum which completely displays and enhance Cameroonian involvement in the world of film making. An event which requires the participation of actors, directors, scriptwriters, cinematographers, sound engineers, editors, light engineers, students, equipment manufacturers and media in a festival that will entail a workshop and training to raise the standard of the industry .

The “LOL Crew” are taking the World Of Comedy By Storm. Weekend’Art Entertainment presents the “LOL Crew” in a series of comedy skits featuring Comedians Big Bao and Topi as the main characters. This Skits will be Shot in several locations all over the country, Season One is made up of 10 skits where the main characters are caught in hilarious situations and will be released on all media platforms on a two week basis. Season 2 is currently under production and promises to be even more epic with special appearances from top Colly wood stars such as…Surprise!!! Episode one sees Topi trying to steal food from the plate of Big Bao, when he gets caught he pretends as though he was dancing to the popular african song*Bend down pause*, with no remorse Big Topi lavishes him a a dirty slap that could make him regret his actions.
