Derant Suh is a passionate music entrepreneur and founder of 45 Records, committed to nurturing raw talent and pushing Cameroonian music across borders.

He schooled at GHS Limbe and briefly at the University of Buea before financial difficulties forced him to drop out. Determined to change his story, he hustled, traveled, and pursued Finance and Credit in Belarus before returning home.

A lifelong music lover, Derant recorded his first studio songs at age 12 but abandoned the dream due to life’s challenges. Years later, with renewed drive and resources, he decided to return to music—not just for himself, but to help others realize their dreams so that hidden talents don’t die like his once did.

Derant’s philosophy is clear:

“We don’t go for ready-made talents. We find those who can’t even afford studio sessions, build them, mould them, and teach them, until they are ready to be seen by the world.”

Meet Cameroonian artiste Kilian Fulie known professionally as Kiflex. Born October 14, 1990, the rapper and Afrobeats artiste hails from the Northwest Region of Cameroon precisely from a small town of Bamenda-Bambui. His story is one which is embodied in resilience, determination, and unwavering faith.

Kiflex grew up in Bambui, he faced a challenging childhood but excelled academically, earning a scholarship that supported his education through primary school. At the age of 7, Kiflex dreamt of becoming a professional basketball player but his aspirations were cut short in 2012 due to a severe knee injury. Rather than being defined by this setback, Kilian pivoted towards personal growth and self-improvement, taking on various jobs such as working in stone pits, bricklaying, and selling food items to support himself.

The enthusiastic Kiflex pursued higher education at CCAST Bambili and the National Polytechnic Bamenda in Cameroon. His academic journey continued abroad at ATHENA Career Academy in Toledo, Ohio, and Chamberlain University in Chicago, Illinois.

Wilson Agbor Effa popularly known by his stage name Ma Rayzer is a Cameroonian folklore artiste who hails from both the Southwest Region and Center Region of Cameroon. His mother, originated from the Bayangi and his father is Ewondo. A blend of rich Cameroonian cultures.

Ma Rayzer was raised by his maternal grand mother from Bachou Ntai who inculcated in him the love of the Bayangi culture. His developed the love for music from his childhood at a very tender age. Being an introvert from childhood he found refuge in music but he never intended to go professional until 3 years ago when his friends and family persuaded him to make the world to discover his wonderful talent.

Ma Rayzer gained prominence after the release of his debut single 3 years ago entitled  “Nkap Kaka” He later on release “Ekong” another instant hit and “Newen“. Ma Rayzer unveiled his debut album tagged “Ancestors” a 10 track body of work which added weight and content to his rich and inspirational discography.

Ma Rayzer recently brought together both parental culture of the Southwest and Centre regions following hos collaboration for the song Ngore Manyang featuring Cameroon’s Bikutsi heavyweight artiste Lady Ponce. The rich cultural blend ha captured the hearts of many Cameroonian music lovers and the project had garnered the singer a good number of fans across the national territory.

He has always collaborated with the legend Bate Nico and the rising star Ayuk on the track “Nkap Kaka Remix”
He is currently working to release another album some time this summer with a possible tome 2 with Lady Ponce.
This former accountant, a graduate from University of Buea with a BSc in Banking and Finance, Data Science Tech Institute of Paris were he obtained an MSc in Data Science and Artificial intelligence is a PHD Postulate at Ohio State University. He has several decades of experience as a Data Engineer both in France and USA were he currently reside.

Born Yong Mark Ndi, popularly know as Makon is a Cameroonian singer, songwriter and philanthropist who hails from Fondung in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. Makon attended CBC Mutengene where he completed his primary education and went on to attend his secondary education at the Progressive High College. He subsequently obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Buea before embarking on his music career. He is indeed one of those artists who believes that being good in business, football and music is the most fascinating kind of art.

 Since achieving success, Makon has taken his career in his own hand and created an entrepreneurial and Innovative empire (One Touch Entertainment and Makon Care Foundation) that has sprung forth from his own creativity and hard work.

Known for his music as well as his entrepreneurial and philanthropic strides, Makon is said to have toed the path of his mother who is also an entrepreneur based in Cameroon. Early Life and Education

Born on June 20, 1993, in Buea, the capital of the Southwest Region of Cameroon, Victor is the second of three boys in his family. He began his educational journey at Government Nursery School Buea Town, moved on to CBC Primary School Great Soppo, and later completed his First School Leaving Certificate at CRC Remedial and PIPS Buea Town.

Victor continued his secondary education at BGS Molyko Buea, before relocating to Green Hills Academy Yaounde, where he obtained his GCE Ordinary Level Certificate. After a brief stint at College Saint Benoit, Yaounde, he returned to Green Hills Academy and secured his Advanced Level Certificate. He was later admitted into The ICT University in Yaounde, where fate led him to his true calling blogging and media.

INFLUENCES

Black Coco was born into a musical family where parents and siblings are amazing vocalists and
composers thus the gift of singing from a very young age. She was assigned choir prefect in high school
because of her outstanding voice. Black Coco sang in a music band from 2016 to 2017 while she was a
student at the university, entered several music contests, and frequently came in first place because
of her burning love of music. After completing her postgraduate degree in Uganda in 2021, she finally
made the decision to turn her love for music into a career.

Black Coco typically sings about life. The difficulty and uncertainty that arise when you are still trying
to determine your purpose and conform to societal norms. Everyone is struggling in some way,
whether it’s in their relationships, careers, or other areas.

“All I try to do Is inspire people to live in spite of their l difficulties”.

“My musical influences include the likes of: Asa, Simi, and Tems. I adore Simi’s delicate melodies and
the richness of Asa and Tems’ writing”.

Black Coco released her first official single, “Insha Allah,” in 2021, following a few covers (Fading,
Bounce & Le Temps De Dieu). It marked the beginning of her career. Six months later, she released
another single titled “falling.” She has collaborated with a number of local and international artists.
These were her first steps into a professional career which she pursues with so much fervor.

He began singing, like most of the R&B greats, in church, where he developed a profound appreciation for soulful harmonies and instrumentation. Music was in his blood, as both his parents were active members of the church choir.

Jean Claude Schmith Mevaa known professionally as Dibongue is a Cameroonian singer and songwriter. He was born on the 9th June 1980 in Yaoundé. Dibongue discovered a passion for music a a very tender age. His love for music pulled him closer to the vinyl records his father had at the time. The young Jean Claude will listen to these records because he became curious about the art. In a family of 14 children, Dibongue had to fight his way out to get his voice heard.

In the year 1997, Dibongue left his family behind. He was just 17 at the time. He went out in search for odd jobs to make a living and cater for himself. In the city of Yaoundé, same year, Dibongue with 3 other friends decided to give birth a to a rap group known as Authentic Menace. They worked together on a album which was released in 2007.

Dibongue later left the group Authentic Menace in 2008 and joined his pianist brother whom he followed to performed at concerts. He then developed interest in playing the piano. The passion of wanting to hold the microphone and sing throughout every minute harassed him so he began writing songs and performing in cabarets in the city of Douala. He later got into the Brasseries du Cameroun orchestra and performed with the group until 2009 when he emerged winner of music contest The Stars. 

In 2010, Dibongue caught the attention of a French-Moroccan at the Ibis Hotel in Douala who gave him an offer to perform at his company Le Blokk, where he would spend five years. Another offer came knocking in 2015, Dibongue moved to Russia where he created a group of 4 musicians who toured the country for 2 years. Dibongue left Russia in 2018 and returned to Morrocco to continue work with his group.

His love for his country Cameroon and its history made him write a song about the current socio-political events in the Northwest and Southwest Regions. He released a single titled “KUMBA” on March 22, 2022.
